Well, you just tell him. If you are having trouble telling him about something like this what are you going to do when something really big happens?
I don't know your situation but I am going to take a wild guess and assume that you both have ties to the towns in which you live, perhaps family or career.
If this is the case I feel it is very important to stay close to those ties so therefore maybe the two of you can agree to somewhere in the middle.

You should have already told him how you feel about moving to his town. Without open communication, your relationship will never last. Be prepared for the fact that he may not want to move to your town either. If you love him, be willing to compromise and both move to a new city somewhere in between.

You have to talk. If he does not know this about you, y'all are NOT ready to be married. You don't know enough about each other.
Take more time to date and learn about each other, because he will not change once you are married if he is not ready to change before, and that goes for anything. Money, Travel, Sex, Partying, Dancing, what ever.... go learn if there is anything about him that you can't live with, without him changing anything.
