If you have a bottle of water in the car, and it is very hot outside, like 30 degrees Celsius. Inside the car temperature is more than that, and so is the water temperature in a bottle. When you drink the water feels hot, so while driving (at safe speed, that is max 120 km/h), you keep the botle outside the car, in order to lower it's temperature.
Me and my husband argued about water's temperature. He said that the temp will fall under environment's temperature and I said it won't because the "outside" counts as a big termostat. We finally put a bet an decided to ask around.
