Military.

Sparta was a HUGE Military place. Each Male did Mandatory service from the age of 8 or so.

Military. Ever hear the term "Spartan"? As in these Spartan conditions are deplorable? It was because their society was so focused on war and the minimalist efficiency needed to win.

The Spartans were a militaristic-centered culture. Read your history, and understand the conditions that pushed them to this result, and why it was favorable.

It's mostly military. The spartan society was built by warriors and fighting was their way of life.
