I will admit that the winner is pre-determined. But everything else is spur-of-the-moment in the ring. I have seen numerous times where a wrestler screams out to the other guy what he wants that guy to do to him. Shawn Michaels screamed out "Clothesline!" right before he was clotheslined over the ropes. But to join in the banter about these guys being hardcore athletes and feeling pain from these matches, just go to your local bookstore. Find a copy of Mick Foley's biography/autobiography, and look at the back cover. It lists (with visual aides) every injury he had sustained when that book came out. And that book came out about 5-10 years ago. Or go rent "Beyond The Mat." In that movie, you will see Mick Foley's wife (who, as a grown woman, should know wrestling is "fake," right?) crying her eyes out watching her husband wrestle.

It is essentially fake but there are somethings that are real. The reason people involved in wrestling get mad when people say it's fake is because they are athletes and not many people can do what they do physically, mentally, and be able to make it look somewhat real. They put a lot of time and practice to make show for the people and they deserve thier respect just as an actor would. I used to watch it all the time but i like UFC way better thats REAL!

Wrestling is "fake". It has predetermined endings and unrealistic storylines and mimicked moves.
Sure, they hold punches (usually) and don't do moves as dangerously as they could, but it is entertainment. It's like a live action movie, or a play.
The injuries they suffer, however, are not fake, which is what terribly annoys me when people say it's "fake". It takes an insane amount of skill and atheleticsm to perform inside a ring successfully, I know, I've been doing it for awhile. Every single time I land hard on my back on the mat, it hurts. Every time I take a boot to the face, it hurts. I've lost teeth, broken fingers (nothing more, thankfully), been cut in all kinds of places, and have been bruised all over my entire body. Wrestling is NOT fake, in that sense.

LMAO at MO. Good one. Wrestling WWE style is entertainment and as with all entertainments there is a suspension of disbelief that must be understood. These guys are trained professionals/actors who put there bodies through a good deal of punishment in order to "entertain" us. Stuntmen do the same thing and these guys go through schools for this stuff.
Just having a blanket statemtent that wrestling is fake simplifies everything, trivalizes a decades long industry with a long and rich entertainment history, and all the people involved with it. Wrestling is "real" in that it is an entertainment that millions watch, we argue over, and in the end know that it's just a show. A show most of us like to watch despite the growing downhill spiral the production is goin in.

WWE is fake. Here are some facts.
1. Blood is real. Superstars have little blades on there fingers usually under there fingers.
2.Some moves are in fact real.
3. Punches are not really fake. They just use an open fist to punch.
4. Weapons are put under the ring to make nosie when superstars hit.
5. Weapons like chairs and tables are lossened up so the affect of them is really not that bad.

It's both... Even though the matches are all choreographed and pre set to who wins, The blood is real, the sweat is real and the moves are mostly real, some of the slaps and kicks are faked but the rest is pretty legit.... This info is for Televised Wrestling like WWF and stuff...

That's why they call it "entertainment". The wrestlers are real athletes out there performing, but it is a scripted show. There's a pre-determined outcome, and that's what makes it fake.

What!
It is real!
They are real, real!
They would never fake it just for money....
well, okay, it is rehearsed, the they stomp their foot when they "hit" someone to make it sound like they hit hard.
