I've called Kinkos, Staples, and Office Depot and they all want to charge a ton. Even the cheapest of them wants to charge me over $2 a page and at least $7 for the first page. That would cost me over $65 for a simple job.

Who has a reasonable price?

public library . . . should cost you no more than 10c per page, though you'd have to work the scanning machine yourself-they won't do it for you.

Thats for scanning though. Sounds like you want something more if Kinkos is charging you that much.

Design time is very expensive, especially at large office chains like Kinko's or Office Depot. Scanning does take time, plus they will have to crop and save the image for you, it is not as easy as making copies. See if there is a locally owned printing or copying business in your town, they may have better rates.

Price will also depend on resolution desired. Higher Res = more $$

Scanners are very cheap these days. I've seen all in one printer, fax, scanner at Costco for under $100.
