Seriously,... Alot of you, including myself,... will either be elderly or 6ft under, when things start to get desperate. The Planet is dying, the signs are in the news every day.
Do you think the future you're working for, saving for yourself and your children will be better? What measures should you be preparing for? When many of the things we take for granted, become scarce and hard to come by.
A lot of the youngsters these days want to party, maybe they're serious about living it up. Because some are aware of the situation & the ramifications of our potential future.
Sure there are some extremist survivalists around, but what about you? How will you prepare for when things get really rough? What can you do?
Its not whether I'm right, but what can you do for yourself - the signs are there to deny or accept.
You do have a choice.

What i would say, is that everyone shut think clearly about this subject, why?, well just think about New Orleans, were they redy for the disaster that they had?, NO, but WHY?!!!!, well the answers are simple, they never think that this can happend to them, not even the US goverment was redy for it!, for example i live in the state of Connecticut and pesonaly I allredy have my plan just in case a tornado of a flood or some other disaster comes to this area, did you know that a big tonder storm was on the way to CT and NY?, yes this is true, but we are save because of a masive cold air from Canada push this into the deep atlantic occean, so is not just here, it can happend anywhere, and people you dont need to wait untill the goverment tells you to ger redy, because what happends when tousonds of people are pile in the supermarket waiting to buy the nesesary fodd and basic needs?, this means we have to ger ready now, not tomorrow neverless minutes before the disaster, but I hoope never happends here but if it does i know i'm ready, ARE YOU?

My choice is to deny. To accept is to give up. this nation was not built by quitters or doomsayers. I lived through the hardships of world war 2 and the depression. I know what hard times can be like, yet we survived. I have been to Vietnam, where children survived by going through the garbage discarded by others. We have not seen hard times yet, but when we do, we will survive. For every bad sign you can show me, I will show you two that make the future bright. One day this planet will end, our God has promised us that eventuality. If we are right with God, then who or what can be against us.

You're not painting a very bright future for humanity, are you? People have been prophosizing the end of the world for hundreds of years. Okay I'm older than I'd like to be and my health is not as good as I would like it, but I still get up every morning and go about living like there will be a tomorrow.

Another option is to drink heavily until you blot out the fear and anger you have bottled up inside you.
Or you could see a therapist to understand how you can get a more positive outlook on life.
The bottom line is, the only think I -- or you -- can change is ourselves: our attitudes, our reactions, our actions.
We all choose how we live our lives ... and to live in the present and with a positive attitude will more likely prevent personal calamaties (or help me in getting through them) than a negative attitude that focuses on some unknown future.

I think you are an alarmist who needs to come down to earth. What calamities do you mean? I'll bet you and I won't see any more than have always been here in mankind's long history. Stop reading nonsense and driving yourself nuts with it. "A coward dies a thousand times, but a brave men dies just once." I will worry about any calamities when they come and not about worst case scenarios that are unreal. What signs do you imagine you see? I hear all sorts of gloomy stuff, but I don't worry about things beyond my control. Death comes to us all, so why spend your life fearing it? I was on a farm with forests around me when I was a boy. I can survive there, but I doubt that I need to do so.
