I signed up this year at Workout World("WOW!"). They waived the signup fee(membership agreement said it would have been $189 - BS), and I got a membership at a monthly $29.99. That includes all classes, and all the equipment(cardio, free weights, nautilus stuff, etc). Tanning is extra. Showers are kinda gross and the lockers are day use only so you have to bring your stuff with you every time.

Usually 30 to 50 dollars a month, depending on your gym and what is included. I pay 45 bucks a month, an that includes classes, equipment, and unlimited tanning sessions.

i happen to have gotten lucky on that one...i am employed w/ the government so we get $20 a month for the membership and the good thing is you dont have to be locked into a contract. still i hardly go so im still wasting my $$$

I think what you are asking is: What does your gym membership pay for? If that is what you intended to ask then your membership is helping pay staff salaries, power bills, water bills, administrative costs, facility rent, laundry exercise equipment etc... All this is called overhead.
