THIS TREE IS IN SOUTHERN CA IN THE INLAND EMPIRE AND IT'S NEXT TO SEVERAL CITRUS TREES, BUT THE BUGS ONLY LIKE POMEGRANITES. IT'S STILL A HEALTHY TREE, BUT EACH YEAR, MORE AND MORE OF THE FRUIT, (EVEN THOUGH IT STILL LOOKS GOOD ON THE OUTSIDE SKIN) WILL BE BLACK AND ROTTEN ON THE INSIDE, MAYBE 10-20% LAST YEAR...AND I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS ANY CONNECTION BTWN THE ROTTEN ONES AND THE BUGS. .
ALSO HAVE HAD A BUG DUDE LOOK AT THESE BUGS AND HE'S PUZZLED...THANK YOU

Without a picture or very accurate description of the insect, it is all but impossible to diagnose your problem. A Yahoo search for "pomegranate tree care" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 40 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek.

Good luck with your search.

i assume it relies upon on your definition of organic. If making use of cleansing soap is acceptable to you, mixing a pair of 0.5 teaspoon of ivory dish cleansing soap with a quart of water & a drop or 2 of vegetable oil in a twig bottle is a long far extra cost-effective than procuring an insecticide cleansing soap spray on the save. I even have the three in one that a prior poster suggested, yet I in easy terms use that if the cleansing soap does not paintings. To then circumvent added infestation, you may prepare a repellant made out of a million tsp warm pepper sauce, minced garlic, and a quart of water. Puree in a blender and then stress right into a twig bottle by cheesecloth or mesh strainer. yet another "undemanding" advice is to gather as many of the offensive insect as you may and grind them up, then combination with a quart of water. curiously, that is meant to deter the bugs from coming back with the aid of fact they do in comparison to having their lifeless "brothers & sisters" around. i don't be attentive to the way powerful this one is nevertheless. in spite of the form of spray(s) you employ, purely be sure you do it interior the tub or exterior. a brilliant number of the sprays will bypass away a residue at the back of and over the years (somewhat the cleansing soap and oil ones), they might quite wreck the end on a windowsill or piece of furniture.
