Every year, my birthday turns out to be crappy. This year, I want to do something fun that doesn't involve spending a lot of money. I want to get all my friends together and just have fun (and not at my house). What can I do that's free (or close to it, anyway) and fun?

I'm 22 and live in New York. I'm not really too into going into the city this year because I'm pregnant and can't drink anyway.

If you don't want to do anything at your house, your options are limited -- especially if you don't want to spend a lot of money.

If you're open to doing something at home, why not invite your friends over for a pot-luck dinner. Tell them you're throwing your own birthday party, presents optional. You'll make a main-course dish and the rest can bring desserts, side dishes or beverages.

Have a get together at the park! Have everyone bring some food with them and presents of course and have a party! No need for decorations your an adult! You can even theme it as in all the food has to be a certain color and your frends have to be dressed in that color too! or some other theme you like!

It depends on where you live. If you live near an ocean or a lake, you could all pack a picnic dinner (or portable grill) and go sit out and have dinner there and just hang out afterwards, or you could do the same in a park if you don't like near water. Or you could all just get together somewhere and watch your favorite movies. Just remember, it's your day, so enjoy it.

no clue what age u are , you can always go to the park, usually lots to do there, if you are young, maybe a water gun fight, water baloon pitch, which is where you get a partner, and all of you stand across from each other, the first time you are pretty close and you pitch it to your partner, if you catch it you both back up one step and so on until before long you are throwing it at each other, it is a lot of fun.

depends on the weather and how old you are and how much you have to spend if you are young and healthy a roller skating party or a bike ride if a good way you could make a pot luck picnic and have someone meet you with a car and a coller of drinks and cupcakes

First, you can't be pessimistic about ALL your birthday parties sucking. You just tell yourself YOU'RE gonna have a good time, and you will! Have a BYOB party in a big field somewhere.

No matter what, your birthday will still be crappy. I'm sorry, but that's just the way you are.

If you want to have a fun birthday, get yourself a new attitude.

What about a round of golf at the Mini-Golf place?
