Married 11 years to a hard-working, supportive man, 2 kids, sex has never been that great and not very often (his choice). The other guy is a friend of the family and works for my brother-in-law.

You are obviously not happily married, or you would never, ever had cheated. How in the world could you be so selfish to do that to your kids, let alone your husband? You had better tell your husband as soon as possible, so both of you can IMMEDIATELY be tested for STDs and HIV/AIDS. You need to have a really hard look at yourself in the mirror and see a tarnished woman who broke her vows and probably her husband's spirit and her kids' trust and love. How proud you must be! --- plus, what you have done to the other wife? So much for women looking out for other women! Sorry for being so irate, but your itch could have been scratched without damaging so many people.

Well its pretty oblivious you was missing something from hubby, but that's OK. Most of us are missing a little something. What to do about it? 1) you can talk to hubby and see if he's willing to try threesome's and or swinging(Full couple swap). 2) you can have your cake and eat it to (a ring never blocked no hole)by not saying nothing see where things go for awhile( most married men and women never tell about their affairs, they keep their mouth shut so that's a plus for you) 3) Instead of a married man find yourself a girlfriend for adult fun 4)Tell hubby you want an open relationship and you both can have your fun 5) confess to hubby what you done, hope he will forgive you ( and every fight you and him may have he'll always throw it back in ur face) get a marriage counselor

You are obviously missing something in your marriage. The question you have to ask yourself is this: Is your marriage worth saving? and if so what are YOU going to do to save it. If your husband is not that interested in sex with you maybe instead of cheating you should have gone to him and and asked him why? Also ask what could you do as a couple to make it more interesting. I know life after kids becomes consumed by the kids ( I have 3 of my own with my husband). But you have to keep the romance alive and you have to do it as a couple. Marriage is a two way street and you are about to go off of a cliff with this affair. End it and fix your marriage. From the way you described you husband he is a pretty good guy and if you still feel like that do whatever you have to do to get the fire back in your marriage. Believe me it's worth it.

How can you be "somewhat happily married"? Let me make sure i have this right. You have a hard working husband who is supportive. And you have cheated on him with a friend of the family. YOU ARE SOME PEACE OF WORK. He needs to get rid of you and find someone that will appreciate him. You give all women a BAD NAME.

You stop seeing the married man and forget about him before a lot of people get hurt, including you.
I did this, I ruined a lot of lives, trust me when I say it is never worth it....and loving a married man is like beating your head against a brick wall...he will never be yours!
Start working on your marriage.
Be appreciative of what you have. Finish raising your kids.
Relationships are not built on sex alone.

Just keep it a big secret and stop

you have to think about if you still wanna be married. If you need a trail separation go ahead and talk it out with your husband. ... but just stop cheating cos its not the right way to go about things.. your happiness is important but your husband doesn't deserve to be hurt like this especially if he's a good man...

WELL, YOU SAID "SOMEWHAT HAPPILY MARRIED", AND IF YOU'RE "SOMEWHAT" THEN YOU'RE NOT HAPPY.

DON'T KEEP UP WITH THE CHEATING BECAUSE IF YOUR HUSBAND FINDS OUT THAT IT'S A GUY THAT COMES AROUND THE FAMILY, SOMEONE COULD END UP GETTING HURT.

I THINK THAT IF YOU WANT YOUR MARRIAGE TO WORK, THEN YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE SHOULD GO AND TALK TO A MARRIAGE COUNSELOR AND MAYBE ALSO GET SOME SEX THERAPY TO SPICE UP THINGS BIT. BUT, I THINK YOU TREADING THIN ICE BY MESSING AROUND WITH SOMEONE THAT IS CLOSELY INVOLVED WITH THE FAMILY TO THAT DEGREE. JUST BE CAREFUL...

Fix what's missing as far as your emotional need that's not being fulfilled, never tell your husband, and live happily ever after. If you didn't have a void in your emotional needs, you wouldn't have had an affair. You would have happily used a vibrator and loved your hubby and all would have been well. That wasn't the case.

This is not good.

TALK with your husband. Stop cheating on him. See a sex therapist or suggest to your hubby that he get a physical. Maybe the problem is physical in nature (i.e. high blood pressure, diabetes, stress, fatigue...). Marriage counseling is another good idea.

Cheating never solves anything and you are running the risk of ruining your marriage and family.

Lack of communication is one of the leading causes of divorce.

listen, we are human my nature (obviously). Sometimes it happens to the best of us. I read some of these responses and I too agree with most of them. However, if you are truly regretful that you did it, then move on and don't allow yourself to do the same mistake twice. Guilt, fear, and remorse is all mental impulses to let you know what you did was wrong. If you allow yourself to accept the guilt then you can move on about your life. Just love your husband and children. If you fear that it could happen again then your marriage is jeopardize and should possibly think about a separation or divorce. You can't take back what you did. Its done and gone only the memory of what you did is with you and him..
