If someone you loved got mad at you cause you didnt take something of theres that they wanted to give you and/or let you use for a while..even though you promised you would. You just didnt take it cause you didnt feel right doing so. Is that right of the other person to take attitude and get mad at you over it? Are they over reacting? or was I that wrong to not take it?

they even went as far as telling me to quit my crap.

Maybe you shouldn't have made that promise. You shouldn't have placated them, telling them that you weren't comfortable accepting the item would have been easier on you both. However, it seems unreasonable that they would be angry about it. It does indeed appear that they are overreacting. Just tell them why you made the promise, and why you didn't accept the gift/loan.
