Your dog is obviously getting the scent of the other dogs from your boyfriends clothes...That would explain why he follows him around also, could it be the dog likes your boyfriend?

Maybe your dog thinks he is going to magically produce the dogs that make those wonderful smells on his clothes. Or maybe he just dont trust him lol.

Does your BF have a pet, maybe your dog loves the smell of it that would explain the following.
Either that he keeps giving it biscuits when your no looking:)

Have 2 canines and one cat and that they consistently follow me around. The cat must be stealthy considering that she does not like the canines, yet all 3 unquestionably sleep with me harmoniously.

Maybe your bf smells good to your dog and wants to keep an eye
on him ! Or he wants to protect you from whatever he perceives from your bf. I don't think it is anything bad though sounds quite sweet !
