The quote "all men are created equal" is from the Declaration of Independence.

The Constitution does not imply nor protect equalty but does protect equal treatment under the law.

False -- those words are in the Delcaration of Independence.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

This is false, the quote comes from the Gettysburg Address. Question Ahoy is correct, the Declaration of Independence states that all men are created equal and have certain inalienable rights but this is only the preamble, and the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution states that all men have the right to "equal protection under the law," but the idea that all men are created equal as government policy is not part of our founding documentation. While there are certain political freedoms accorded to everyone, there are also extensive protections of private property with the understanding that private property and the creation of wealth will bring about security and prosperity. Abraham Lincoln had expressed grave doubts about how much protection is given to corporations, because since they are not people they cannot be held to the same level of accountability as people are.

False. It's in the Declaration of Independence. The Constitution says we all get equal protection under the law.

I beleive that is false, but am not 100% sure. The Declaration of Independence, I know has this phrase. If it is in the Constitution, it is probably in the Preamble.

i think you mean to speak of the declaration of independence
the constitution may edvice that all men should act equal but it does not say all men or exactly equal
the declaration states .. " All men are equal and should abide bye our countrys laws "

I believe that's the Declaration of Independence, but it is strongly implied in the Constitution, at least in it's current incarnation.

That's a beautiful ethical concept and the foundation of our moral philosophy as a nation.

Modern conservatism has become "destructive of these ends" and should be abolished. George W. Bush is the first truly American despot. It is our duty to defeat he and his ilk to preserve liberty in our great nation!!

Yes, created equal. Not born equal, or continue throughout our respective lives as equal, but created. And, by "all men," you can take that to be "mankind" -- as in women, too.
