I want arguments for and against the idea that man has walked on the moon, just to get an idea of how many people believe each side.
If you do believe it, how can you be sure that the entire thing wasn't a giant hoax?
If you don't believe man ever walked on the moon, why not? Is there a distrust in mankind's ability to put people on the moon, or is it more of a distrust in mankind's ability to be truthful?

I don't want references. I am asking for YOUR opinion, not a website's.

You wouldn't beleive any of the evidence, because there's always a counter to support the conspiracy. Video's were taped in a studio, Rock samples were from asteroids that landed on earth, etc . . . Sometime you have to go with waht makes sense . . . and a faked moon landing just doesn't . . . Besides, you don't think someone would have leaked it by now? Even if only a handful of people were in on the conspiracy (which it would have to be a large group), someone would have leaked the story and sold the book rights for millions by now.

There is just no way such a big hoax could be pulled off. The whole world was watching, including me (I was in high school at the time) and believe me, no hoax would have been good enough to fool everybody! The Flat Earth Society believed it was a hoax at the time, but they believed the Earth was flat and the whole space program was fake!
The only reason more and more people like the hoax idea is that we have not gone back in all this time. As the joke goes, "If they can put a man on the Moon, then why can't they put a man on the Moon"!.
The reason we have not done it again is that unlike electronic technology, rocket technology (and car and airplane technology too) has not really improved much in 30 years, so it would still be as expensive and difficult as it was in 1970. I mean a $500 computer today is better than a million dollar computer in 1970, but a $20,000 car today is hardly any better than a $3,000 car from 1970.

I do believe we have walked on the moon where else would we get moon pies from, LOL in all seriousness that is a tough question because there is so much out there that can be evidence for and against that. Me personally I like to think we have and just wonder why we have never gone back which then leads to the theory maybe we hadn't really and all this time we have tried to figure out how. Movies prove you can fool many!

Yes, Man walked on the moon.
I have only one argument against the whole HOAX hypothesis....
Was the whole world part of this international conspiracy? The moon landing took place in 1969, at the height of the cold war.
If it had been staged, wouldn't the Russians, East Germans, Chinese, etc. all be jumping up and down screaming foul!
Don't tell me the Soviets were not monitoring the mission!

i dnt believe people have been on the moon yet...the early years of astronomical hoaxes have been just that...hoaxes...there r so many discrepancies and evident mistakes that it wld take a 3 year old to see it was a fake...it is way too risky to pressume that man can actually surviv on ANY other planet other than our own at the moment ..thats why they send out robots to sample atmospheres etc...besides..take a real look at the actual things that HAVE made it into a alien atmosphere...all have been robots..and only 5 percent of them have made it so far...we can only skim the surface of earth at the mo..we havent got the machinery that CAN actually LAND on any other surface safely yet..so until the very first person actually does land on the moon or anywhere else...u can believe there wld be very very very large flags to show for it ...and probably an army to follow lol

Look! I was there...at the Cape in 1969. working for NASA. I watched the astronauts enter the capsule. Watched the rocket lift off. Monitored the landing. Watched as Armstrong step off the LEM. You're too young to have any real knowledge of those times... probably wasn't even born yet, but I was there!! There's no "truth" involved here... only FACT!!
I don't believe so much in man's distrust as I do in man's inherent stupidity. People can believe any damned thing they want... but I WAS THERE!

The Moon landings were real. There is far too much evidence of the reality of the moon landings for it to be faked.
The conspiracy theorists who claim that the landings were faked don't have even the mere rudiments of scientific knowledge required to disprove the landings. If you go to those sites, you will find pseudo-scientific claptrap and pure BS purporting to be "science".

Hi. Yes. As evidence you only have to watch the ISS go over. Most of the technology developed for the space program is still in use today.
