I would like to point out that one of Dodges biggest money makers is their Heavy Duty trucks with the American made Cummins Turbo Diesel.

Not a Japo Durasplat
Or a 3rd Generation converted gas V8 Power Stroke that has been plagued with problems

I will admit that i just bought stock in Furd because it can only go up from here...

I want to say E. However, the main reason is how Ford and GM have been "selling (read under cutting) their cars to customers. Instead of relying on the tried and true mothod of value-add selling the blue oval and the bowtie decided that incentives and rebate plans were the best way to sell cars when the market took a fall about 5-6 years ago. They set an artificial high price and then cut the price to the bones with incredible sounding $8000 to $10000 discounts or incentives like 0% financing witch is also borrowed against the value or selling price of the car. They built up a lot of their own inventory to match demand, financed most of their own bad deals and ended up throwing their stocks into junk bond status. Ergo the low stock price. Remember that Chrysler is the only one of the big three to post a profit in the last three years.

Chrysler is the combined company of Daimler (Mercedes) and Chrysler so it is a much more diversified company than either Ford and GMC. Also there has been a lot of recent news about lay offs and losses at both Ford and GMC.

All of which contributes to a lower stock price.

The amount of outstanding shares and profit.
DCX 1,021,400,000 shares +$2,314 million made last quarter
F 1,908,000,000 shares $254 million lost last quarter
GM 565,608,000 shares $3,379 million lost last quarter

I think Ford and GM made too many promises to the union and now health care costs probably exceed the cost of the parts to build a car.

I started looking up those companies on yahoo finance, just to prove to you that share prices have nothing to do with how a company is doing(which it doesn't.) I realized that Daimler-Benz was doing better than GM and Ford...way better. It's probably some or all of the reasons that you listed there. Anyways, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

If Chrysler is really in such great financial shape, they wouldn't need to be shoving product down their dealer's throats and offering employee pricing all summer. My prediction is they have some impending bad news that hasn't affected their stock prices yet.
