Currently there is no credible evidence of explosives used at the twin towers. There are some that claim that thermite or other high explosives may have been used, but there is no evidence to support such claims. The official explanation, whether true or untrue, is that burning jet fuel weakened the steel structure of the building causing structural failure, which is definitely a plausible explanation. Until solid credible evidence to the contrary is found, the official explanation is the one I would adhere to.

Airplanes. The fuel from them when they hit the towers is what caused the fire and subsequently the fall of the towers. The fuel heated up so hot that it melted the steel beams that held the towers up.

245,000 pounds of Jet A fuel per aircraft. 245,000 lbs = 36,567.16 gallons of fuel. Fuel that exploded on impact. Anyone who thinks otherwise, or thinks that it WASN'T the aircraft being flown into the WTC at top speeds exceeding 520+mph, is warped in their thinking. The WTC wasn't designed to be hit by jumbo jets, with full tanks of explosive fuel. You all who buy into the conspiracy theories are just plain sick and very delusional.

There were no explosives, all the damage was caused by the burning of the aircraft fuel, and of the combustible materials (paper etc) in the offices. Scary, isn't it!
Even if this were not true, I wouldn't want to publish what explosives were used, out of fear that another terrorist would try to repeat the event!
