Funny how the repubs all say the dems voted for the war as a tactic against the dems. The war and its entire botched execution was prosecuted by the republican leadership.

Dems had no voice in the matter, and were lied to in the first place. Republicans have control of all 3 branches of government, and as such, bear full responsibility, because nothing the Dems do or say is payed attention to in the slightest. Dems are even being excluded from debates on issues, votes on bills, or any power at all. Everything that has been done in the last 6 years is the full responsibility of noone but the Republican Party. The People of this country didn't even vote Bush into office! Either time! The Supreme Court (the members of the majority vote for bush on the Court were all appointed by Bush Sr, Reagan, or [in one case] Nixon) decided that Americans do not have the right to vote, and installed Bush as unilateral dictator. The second time, to retain some illusion of democracy, the manufaturers of 80% of the voting machines promised Bush the election...and gave it to him.
Democrats do not want to surrender to terrorists, you morons! Dems want to solve the problem. Bush is only making it worse. Here's an article by a Republican owned newspaper:

"Commander in Chief" is an unearned title, but Dumbya likes to wear it a lot.... like a flight suit on a certain aircraft carrier. As for "mission accomplished", this has been done to the American people in the missionary position. The latest scoop is that there is a leaked NIE which says that the Dictator Dumbya Big Lie Iraqi Crusade has PROMOTED terrorism around the world and is making the USA LESS secure. So what "undisclosed location" was that Truman "buck" sign taken to for burial? Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

They aren't "weaseling" out of anything. They are stating that there are a large number of Dems that voted for the war, and now they are attacking him for being in it. He is responsible and has admitted that. So is Congress, but it's the Dems that are being weasels. The Dems are trying to play both sides of the coin.

Congress cannot be "totally Republican" when there are non-Republicans there son. If so much as one non-Republican gave the president authority then he is not alone in responsibility for the war, unless it was an executive decision without any congressional input.

Not sure what your point is.
Bush and the GOP have never Clintoned... uh, weaseled out saying they did not take responsibility for their decisions, so I'm not sure where you got this talking point from.
But your declaration that Dems are innocent of all things belies the fact they have taken every chance to undermine the War, propagandize against it, have called our own troops Nazis and KGB, have publicized to the hilt every crime or abuse or even alleged abuse that our troops have been accused of.
They have done everything in their power to support and succor our enemies, and demoralize our citizens and troops, and you say they have done nothing? Please, you insult our intelligence.

We do not have a totally republican congress. He has taken responsibility for his actions and decisions, what's lacking here is any sense of responsibility on the part of the democrats.

I remember bush on TV, saying he was giving Sadam 48 hrs.
to leave - that was 100% bush.
Congress voted to give him the power & that's what bush,
the 'decider', decided to do with it.

So you are saying that any Democrat that voted to invade Iraq should not be held accountable, but any Republican should be held fully accountable.
Sounds like a perfectly sane liberal position to me.

Please study your history. Please be informed before asking such a question. Find out what the president really does. Find out who has to decide it is OK to go to war. Questions need to be informed not just an opinion of the news. http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20030417.html Please read this on presidential powers. There are many sites that can be found on the net that are informative to how the USA government is operated.
