What's the difference between a $50 250 GB harddrive on eBay and a $120 one at Wal-Mart? Both are Seagate Barracuda 250GB Internal Hard Drive/ 7200 RPM / 16MB Cache?

I understand about used stuff. I'm talking about new, sealed, with warranty-

The $120 dollar one comes with a guarantee. You take your chances with something bought on ebay. Otherwise, there's no diff. If you buy on ebay, be sure check out the seller.

it went for 61 dollars not 50 and i bought something from ebay with a rating of 98.1% positive and i have yet to get my item and i ordered it the 3rd of september so i would say the difference is you don't know if you will get exactly what they promised or just get stiffed so if you don't want to take that chance stick with wal mart

Nothing. Walmart is no cheaper than any other store these days and is often a few dollars more expensive except when it comes to products like CD's which they sell at a loss on purpose to bring people into the store so they will buy their other products that are over priced and often total crap.

YOU WILL NEVER GET IT THAT CHEAP either the price will go up before you buy it, or what your buying is not exactly what you think...... READ the ad on ebay very thourough...... some people sell ...manuals on the harddrive... not the actual hardrive...but they make it look like your buying the acual hard drive.
