lizzie, I know you asked for new ideas - not existing sites. However, when you are going to try and develop such a site you do need to be aware of your competition.
The best thing you can do for your site is go to yahoo and google and do a search, as if you were looking for an over 21 larger size person dating site. The top sites that come up are generally where people are going.
Go there yourself and find out why. These are the things you'll want in your site.
