a.) HF. H has a valence of +1, F has a valence of -1.
b.) CaO. Ca has a valence of +2, O has a valence of -2
c.) TiCl4. Ti has a valence of +3, Cl has a valence of -1 (-4 when there are 4 atoms). (solution!)
d.) NaOH. Na has a valence of +1, and OH has a valence of -1.
e.) Na2HPO4. Na has a valence of +1 (2 total), H has a valence of +1, and PO4 has a valence of -3.
f.) CO. Carbon normally has a valence of +4, however, for Carbon Monoxide, an extra election goes to Oxygen, forming a partial triple bond, and leaving the molecule neutral.

The answer is therefore C.

The other compounds are not ionic, because they do not carry an external charge (the individual atoms have charges, but the net charge for the compound is 0).
