Some of my biggest problems in life come not from my inablity to deal with depression or a mania. Rather they come from a terrible ability to organize and to prioritize issues. I don't know where I got this or how I can learn to get rid of it. Do you think it might be a seconday symptom of bipolar?

Not being able to think in an organized manner can be a symptom of the lows of the depression. First get you medication checked. It may be time for an adjustment. Second, see if you might benefit from seeing a therapist who can help you learn to organize your thoughts in a more coherent way. these types of therapist usually call their process "cognitive' based therapy because they help you re-train old behaviors/

Your symptoms sound more like adult ADD to me, but you should talk to your doctor if you really want to get to the bottom of this.
