I can usually tell if a person is light skinned or mixed raced. There are a few differences. Sometimes you can't tell at all though. At first I thought that Halle Berry and Kelly Holmes were black but their mothers are both white. Wentworth Miller, Jennifer Beals, Leila Arceri and Mariah Carey look white but all of their fathers are black except Leila Arceri who's mother is black.

Some people may carry strong African-American features while others may not. There is no difference, as biracials/mulatto people are still considered African-American. I have two nephews who have a black father....the older one is VERY pale but is still dark enough to not be 100% white, and the little one has features more like his father, but could actually pass for a Hispanic baby! They are both beautiful, and while they may be the focus of ridicule in the future, they will hopefully embrace both heritages and be happy with who they are....boys who have parents that LOVE them!

Mulatto is a slave term derived from the Spanish word "mule".It is no different to saying half-breed.
Race is a term weighed down by the history of European imperialism and the pseudo-scientific hierachisation of people of different skin colours that was used to rationalise it.
Colour is the most obvious of all racial differences. In linguistic terms it has generated, probably to noone's great surprise, more slurs than any catergory of vilification.
Star golfer Tiger Woods, is identified as "black", yet he may see the world as more of a grey place. As I mentioned earlier the difference is usually brought up by those of European descent and not African. But does it matter, leave those with their myopic view stay ignorant.
At the end of the day whether you are light skinned, or black, the only significancy is they are human: love your neighbour! Although we have eyes our vision is impaired by the prejudice of colour.

that's what many people do, judge. they are always wondering if someone is "black" enough or "white" enough. it's all crap. i think people should just get over it already!
and as a biracial person, i can say the word mulatto is not appropriate! it comes from a latin word for mule - a half breed (a mule for those who don't know is a horse-donkey cross)
this is not a technical term for BIRACIAL people!

The east asians(jap, Korean, chinese language) usually have a fairer complexion on an identical time as the South and South-east(Indians,Thais,Fillipinos etc.) have a tanner complexion. And as you mentioned, the honest skinned people in Asia are seen captivating. they are regularly getting used interior the entertainment industry. the reason being so is as a results of the fact interior the Asian society, honest pores and skin ability that someone is regularly extra properly off as he/she do no longer could pass out to the fields to paintings and can arise with the money for staying at abode looking after themselves. additionally, honest pores and skin here shows a youthful visual attraction. consequently, it incredibly is the version. i wish i did no longer offend all of us. People are jealous and have no heart for those who they believe are different from them. People should realize that we are all from the same melting pot and we should put our race issues aside and focus on what's happening in greater issues like War,AIDS etc...
