Some couples use the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) or 'Natural Family Planning' is used to track a women's menstrual cycle, figure out when ovulation occurs to than know when to and when not to have sex. This it NOT recommend for young people or those who aren't in a long-term relationship, because it probably isn't as reliable as other forms of birth control, especially if it isn't done correctly.

Young women typically do not have regular periods leaving no real safe time for unprotected sex. I would recommend you and you partner getting tested for STIs and then finding a reliable form birth control. There is a lot to choose from, such as: Hormonal birth control (pills, patch, ring), IUDs, spermicide, diaphragm, and more.

Well if you are monogamous and know your partner is free of any STD's, the best time to have sex and not get pregnant is usually after your period has ended. You can still get pregnant but this is after the ovulation process is completed. Ask your doctor for a recommendation on birth control for better protection.

There is really no safe time to have sex but on the other hand, think of diseases because there are alot of those that can't be treated use a condom always.

I would'nt advise it period.
Always use protection.
If the guy has a vacsectomy, you could still get a disease.

If you care about your body, you would'nt risk getting pregnant or a STD.

What you're contemplating is a huge risk.
It's like swimming in shark infested water, with a fresh bleeding wound, hoping not to get bit.

there's a more fertile and less fertile cycle.. but that doesn't mean you can't get pregnant... and you shouldn't ask questions of that nature on here because you can't trust the source, talk to your doctor or a nurse or something along that line.
