here's the secret most all over the counter sleeping pills have the same active ingredients Diphenhydraimine (that's generic Benadryl) its used for allot of things ,It works well for a sleep aid & is suppossed to be non habit forming. the generic is much cheaper.& works just as well...

Almost every over-the-counter sleep aid contains diphenhyrdramine hydrochloride, which is the active ingredient in Benadryl. Problem is the sleep aids cost quite a bit more than Benadryl and you don't get as many pills. So you're really better off just buying plain old Benadryl. There is one exception to the rule, and that's Unisom. Benadryl does the trick for most people, so you should only use Unisom if your insomnia is severe. One word of warning: Both Benadryl and Unisom can leave you feeling groggy the next day.
