I just stacked 100 of the current 1 pound coins, and came up with 31.47 cm, so my answer would be 100,000 1 pound coins would be 314.7 meters. I decided to research this further, and stacked 100,000 1 pound coins, and now i have a hole in my floor, and have to take the downstairs neighbors cat to the vet.

Hmm... Let's have a go:
Height of one £1 coin: 3mm
Answer times 100,000: 300000mm
Therefore, answer is: 300000mm or 3000m high.
Hope that helped!

First look here for the dimensions (thickness) http://www.royalmint.com/RoyalMint/web/site/Corporate/Corp_british_coinage/CoinDesign/OnePoundCoin.asp
it's 3.15mm
so 3.15mm x 100,000 = 315000mm or 315 metres
