I love birthday parties at home. You have access to everything you're going to need. First aid in case somebody gets hurt, the kitchen for food prep, and easy access to restrooms. Plus, since you're obviously familiar with your own home it will be easier to keep track of all the children. If you're worried about it being too boring, focus part of your budget on transforming the space. You'll have time to set up because you're not renting a location.

I just went through this dilemma. I'm not familiar with your neighborhood, but I opted for an arts and crafts party at our local Michael's store. There are a variety of craft projects at different price points, so you can control the cost of the party to your own budget.
Have fun!

Wekiwa Springs State Park is fun this time of year before the Fall gets here and it gets too cold.

Check out your local parks and make reservations. Sometimes they have permanent BBQ and you could bbq some hot dogs and hamburgers, take them along in a couple of ice chests. Maybe you can rent one of them jumpers for fun.

My son usually likes a BBQ at the park so him and his friends can either play on the jungle gyms or go fishing. Its cheap and even the adults can enjoy themselves.
