My favorite site is http://www.simgedoehns2.de/eng/index.htm. You can find some cool free stuff over there. Another fave is Around the Sims @ http://www.aroundthesims2.com/ . These sites also have links to other Sims sites in case you don't see what you're looking for.

You're going to run into downloads for the first one as well, but it's a good place to look if you have a few hours to kill. It's easy to make your own stuff, you should try.

usually you have to pay for it, but its worth every penny. I have all the packs of it and love it. if you want to download i would try limewire, etc.
