After being on the Pill for 20 years, I am having this procedure done in the near future. Does anyone know of side effects once the operation has been done. When can I resume intercourse without fear of getting pregnant? I would appreciate any information on this topic. Thanks.

It depends what you're having done. Are you tubes being cut or tied? Your questions are best answered by your doctor. In general, success rate is high, and you don't need to wait long to resume relations (as soon as you feel up to it, go for it).

I had it done 18 years ago when I was 23 and I've never gotten pregnant. As for side effects, I didn't have any. I think I waited two months before resumming intercourse

Well i can say its the best thing invented and that you can do. You do get a bothersome pain on your belly button but once that's gone you go and enjoy sex girl. GO, GO, GO!!!
