Trade associations hold regular seminars on various subjects from operations to finance and marketing. Try the International Frabricare Institute (IFI) and the Textile Rental services of America (TRSA). They also collect statistics, do research and lobby in DC for their industries. Their function is to protect, promote and professionalize the industry.

It's done on an apprenticeship. You have to be in the business to learn it. You pick it up from someone else showing you.
