I read that fetal movement can be felt starting 13 weeks(at the earliest). But I read that women are saying they fetal movement at 10 weeks even one saying it a 9 weeks, is it really possible to feel it that early? I thought I have felt movement at 12 weeks but not sure. Just wondering what your take on this issue is?

I have felt my son move since 16weeks2days...i am now 34 weeks 5 days and this is my first pregnancy...i am 5feet 8 and i weighed 145 before this pregnancy....so i was tall and slim i guess...also my stomach was pretty toned

in subsequent pregnancies(whether they go on to be full term or not) ..you can feel the baby move as early as 13 weeks...that is right!!!....but it jus means because your ligaments are loose and your body knows how to differentiate between gas and movements....

it all depends on the mom...dont let any1 tell you your crazy...you know your body better than we do

BEST ANSWER I THINK SO!!!!!lol

And if you were to ask me I believe I "felt" when I conceived...lol... I just knew my body so much that I had my first ultrasound at 3-4 weeks and all you saw was a small black sac the size of a pen tip...lol...the doc told me that I really must have "felt" when I conceived...b/c that was the earliest ultrasound he ever did..lollllllll

At 10 weeks or 13 weeks its still too early to feel the baby move, i felt my baby move around 18 weeks and it got stronger im 19 weeks now and now i look back to when i tought it was the baby moving at 15 weeks and i can tell the differences between, at 10 weeks or 13 weeks u are experiencing gas, if this is not ur first child u could feel ur baby move around 15 or 16 week. well i wish u luck and i hope my opion helped you

P.s. You will know when its fetal movement, if you want to check tap on ur belly a couple of times like "u tap on the baby's butt when trying to put to sleep" well more carefull when taping ur belly tap for a few seconds then wait until baby responds to you. the baby will usually responds

I'm a Granny now but nobody forgets being pregnant. 20 weeks is the average but can be earlier. I remember wanting to feel the baby so bad after learning I was pregnant that every flutter felt like it just "had" to be "IT". Mother's to be have a yearning to feel that life start but I doubt at 12 weeks you felt the baby. When the little guys start moving they don't stop. Some even start jumping-jacks real early like my son did. My daughter felt like a little butterfly early on. You enjoy and it wont be long until you can let the father feel those little bumps and jumps.

Good Luck and Health in your Pregnancy.

Most fetal movement isn't felt until the baby is big enough. I had a friend who insisted she felt her baby right away... I don't think she knew what she was talking about. I've also heard that when you've already had a kid, you feel the movement earlier on.

I didn't feel my first move until almost 22 weeks, but felt my 2nd moving at 16 weeks. I agree with the person who said people who have already had a baby might be able to feel earlier, but 9 weeks seems early to feel it. Yes the baby's moving alot at 9 weeks, but they're so tiny it seems like it would be hard to tell the difference between a normal fluttering in your stomach and the baby moving.

I read that fetal movement can't be felt til five/six months. Any thing before that is gas. Go and buy that baby book "What to expect when your expecting" You won't have to guess whether or not you are experiencing fetal movement because it will be apparent.

With the 1st, I felt it around 20 weeks.

With the 2nd, I really did feel movement (though not regularly) at 12 weeks. With subsequent babies, the muscles aren't as toned so the baby is easier to feel, and you know exactly what it feels like.

My experience is that most "fetal movement" felt that early is nothing other than gas! I thought I was feeling it too and my doc told me that it's way too early. I never actually felt my daughter until 23 weeks. You'll definatly know the difference when it happens.

With my first pregnancy I was over 20 weeks before I felt movement. With my second it was slightly sooner, maybe 18 weeks. I think it is just normal stomach movements/digestion that you feel before then. Becuase you are pregnant you think it is or wish it is the baby, but it probably is not.

I didn't feel any movement until about 21 weeks.

Women who have had kids already seem to be able to feel movements earlier on, because they know what to look for.

Sometimes what people think is baby movement is actually gas moving through the intestines.
