Here are a few tips:
Dress nice ~ Look at the way the associates are dressed and mirror that. Don't show up in uniform, but wear similar clothes to what you see. NO JEANS OR FLIP-FLOPS. (You probably didn't need to hear that but I have seen so many...)
Think customer service ~ What do you want when you are out shopping? Keep that in mind when you are answering questions, your perceptions as a customer will be very valuable as an employee.
Smile ~ Relax and be friendly and open. Skills in retail are very teachable, you don't need to bring much technical experience. What you DO need is the right attitude.
Retail isn't about what you know how to do, it's about taking care of people nad being willing to work. Your age will give you an edge - leverage your maturity as a reason they should hire you. Good luck!

First, make sure you get enough sleep the day before. Have your clothes ready, a good blouse and slacks or a suit if you have it. Make sure your hair is neat and your nails are nice. Have your application/resume ready. Go over your last job and try to remember what you did and what experiences you have. They will ask you questions pertaining to the job so be ready to answer them. Try to relax and don't fidget. While they are asking you the questions look at the person and answer the best you can. Come up with at least three questions you want to ask. Most places like it when applicants ask, it shows they are serious about the job. Smile and thank them for their time. Good luck! :)

#2 just be honest when answering questions pertaining to your experience (tell them although you may lack of retail experience, you have a great fashion sense and that you are savvy when it comes to putting clothing together for the perfect outfit) They will appreciate your honestly
#3 Also, inform them of what you do have to offer their company (tell them you have the ability to sale, sale, sale!) Good Luck
