+ The electrical power in the Bahamas is mostly based on 208volt 3 wire plus a ground, which they convert at the household /building level to 120volt (It is compatible with your hair dryer). To do this they take each lead of the 3 wire 208 volts and match it with a common ground wire hence getting the power required for the hair dryer. YES YES YES go ahead and use it.

in the bahamas most of the good that we import into the bahamas comes from the usa

Not a problem. I did have to use an adaptor in Dominican Republic.
