I'm not sure. I do know which is my least favorite though: "military intelligence." I was amused by it the first couple of hundred times I heard it, but it's gone from clever to cliche since then. Also, I've since been in the military, and now tend to see the suggestion that it's a contradiction in terms as an insult. (However, every once in a while I hear someone in the military say it, and he thinks he's just making fun of MI. The fact that he doesn't realize he's insulting everyone in the military, himself included, suggests that maybe it's true, at least, for him.)
To those who say "military intelligence" is their favorite (or any variant, such as "army intelligence"), I say "civil right" is an oxymoron. So there.

Many answered your question by saying " military intelligence " That's far from being an oxymoron. In military language " intelligence" has nothing to do with brain power. The word means information about the enemy.

How about "Express lane"? When you have stood in line for thirty minutes, it begins to feel like an oxymoron (this also counts for the freeway lane).
