I want 2 get a ipod, and my dad has 1, and we use itunes on 1 computer, if i get a ipod, can we share 2 ipods on 1 itunes?

Yes. In fact, iTunes will allow for separate settings for each iPod. So in other words one iPod could be set for automatic download of all tunes and the other can be set for manual download of tunes.

This way if you want different tunes on your iPod versus you dad you can. It works nicely with multiple iPods.

you have to put your own itunes on the computer so you and your dad each have the program (your ipod will come with the disk) and then if you want his songs you can just click and drag them to your ipod

the only way that you can have 2 ipods on one itunes makes them EXACTLY THE SAME... so i dont advise this at all

Yes you can... but import songs manualy (drag the song files)... if you do a "synchro" it will try to match the database on the ipods and the computer overwriting the contents of the ipods with your PC. Manual synchro bypasses that feature, I have done this many times. I've used it on my ipod and three others... my niece's and two nephews'. and its worked fine.
