How do I find out if my Talavara Plate is lead free or not?

Most hardware/paint stores carry a product to test. I stock a household lead test kit made by Homax. you can check out the website at http://www.homaxproducts.com. the test kit can be used to test pretty much any surface to see if it is lead.
