I have Lip Envy by Urban Decay in Greedy. It looks purplish, but its not. I also have lip stains by Vincent Longo and Victoria's Secret. I don't like those as much as Lip Envy.

Clinique used to have some great lip stains - in fact most cosmetic companies do. Try a demo on the back of your hand before you buy. Another one that has true colors that stay true is Artistry - used to be Amway, but is now Quixtar. They're beauty products are rate 5 in the world for quality.

Stila makes a great lip stain in pen form. Also bobby brown has a cream lip stain and to be honest any dark lip stick will work. put it on and wipe it off. add clear gloss and your good. the more pigmented the lipstick the better. I think bobby brown has the most bang for your buck but loreal and M.A.C make good ones too.

Benetint by Benefit, the stain is definitely lighter than what it says on the box. Of course this can change depending on your natural lip color.

lorac lip stains work great -- it is about the same shade as on the box and lasts a long time
