i need to know the answer for the lowest multiple for 36 and 40

First write the prime factorizations:

36 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 3
40 = 2 x 2 x 2 X 5

The LCM has to have the most of each factor that appears in either number,

so it is 2 X 2 X 2 X 3 X 3 X 5 or 360

40=2x2x5x2
so LCM=3x3x2x2x2x5=360

the least common multiple of 36 and 40=360
