Are you talking about the book or the sugared-down Disney movie? The movie has elements from both Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass.
A favorite moment from the literature is when Alice has had to swim through her own tears and the Dodo bird helps her dry off by reciting history lessons.
