In Greece all contracts are protected by law for a basic period of two years at least. If either party wishes a shorter period, it has to be clearly defined in the contract. Annual rental raise for the first two years is agreed between the two parties and then according to the Law, unless differently agreed (always written).
Regarding the beach, I would suggest you to avoid small islands as transportation or medical services during winter time might prove inadequate.

Try the following sites, available also in English (press the British flag):
www.epilegmena.gr
www.kamprasestate.gr
www.crete-property.com
www.goutos.gr
www.ionionrealestate.com
www.realbase.gr

The are few of the real estate sites to help you find what you are looking for.

If they are not of assistance to you, then google what you are looking for and it will come up!

Good luck!

i could advise Skiathos. I even have visited the island dissimilar circumstances. it is an extremely appealing island, with no longer severe nightlife and with very appealing environment's. It has a nudist sea coast noted as 'banana sea coast' and that i've got heard it is superb yet i've got no longer visited it myself. you will locate reliable eating places there too. superb holiday journeys!!!
