As far as make up is concerned...Bare essentials has a line of mineral make up that is fantastic and colors for all skin types...it has a built in sunsreen and isn't goopy and won't drip down your face. It last for a long time...something comparable is Physicians Formula available at Wal-Mart etc. (Bare essentials is available in some boutiques across the country and on QVC and television info mercials).
Also maybelline has some eye shadows now that are made for specific eye color. That would be a great place to get an idea of which color is best for your eye color.
Just keep it light for day wear....keeping your make up age appropriate is very important.
good luck finding the right shades for you.

According to professional makeup artists, Women with dark brown eyes can wear ANY color eyeshadow. I myself have dark eyes and I have always loved the way I look in Browns, Tans, golds and peach tone shades... the key to good looking eyeshadow is NOT the color you put on, but blending the three colors over the eye lid ( If you do not know the sequence... lighest shade right under eyebrow, medium shade across lid next to eyelashes and darkest color blended into crease of eye) The key is to use a good eyeshadow brush, blend the edges of the color into each other giving a more natural appearance.

You can almost make any color work... it's HOW you work it! Use nice shades or techniques and use the proper tools such as good brushes to blend the colors well or to apply the right amount. Those little sponge applicators that come with drugstore cosmetics won't always do the trick. One quick tip that you may or may not know is to put a thin layer of concealer on your lid to make the color of your eyeshadow pop. this is particularly important for darker skin colors and when using shades that don't have as much pigment... also try MAC or HIP by loreal.... or MAX Factor (Milani and some others) good luck.

I would suggest a chocolate brown, dark olive green, or eggplant colored eyeliner, with cooresponding eyeshadow in a light, medium, and dark hue. Use the medium on the lid, the dark in the crease, and the light as highlight. Be sure to blend well so it looks subtle and soft. You can also go nude with shadows in beiges, browns, and peachy shades (think J-Lo). Top it off with black mascara and a pretty gloss and you'll be beautiful. Don't worry about matching clothes, just wear what you feel comfortable and pretty wearing. Whatever you decide, give it a test drive at home when you have time to practice, and don't be afraid to experiment. Its only makeup, it washes off!

the darker your skin is the more color you can get away with. you should never match your makeup to you clothes. instead match the tones of your clothes to your makeup. If you are wearing a warm red shirt don't wear cool blue eyeshadow- a warm brown would be better. get it?
i think you could easily get away with pinks and purples. i wouldn't go to much for green and blue. honestly the more natural the better.

u can wear pink and brown eyeshadow with any color outfit. ya u can wear light purple, sky blue or light green eyeshadows but nothing bright ok. sometimes ur make-up should match ur clothes. like if ur wearing a blue blouse then u can wear sky blue eyeshadow it'll look nice.

No, I think pastel pinks, purples, and midnight blue eyeshadow will go beautifully with your skin tone. Pastels stand out against your skin, dark colors give you a mysterious look. I suggest using cream shadow to keep shadow from caking.

actually your right on the market with the color palette you have chosen, pinks, purples, light blues, and shades of green compliment brown eyes very well, and really you can pull just about anything off with the right attitude and clothes count, but its the accessories that make the umph!!

I would do the dk. greys, silvers, peaches/corals or coppers for everyday. If you go green do the olives....please no seafoam green.

I use dk brown, white pearl & peach for everyday. Just make it darker for evening.

Blue eyeshadow should never be worn by anybody. Some purple is o.k. but not very mature looking to me.

im kinda like that i love green on my eyes. and type of green looks nice but dark green looks great. i usually try to put my makeup on with colors that look good together not necessarily matching. any color eyeshadow usually looks nice depending on how you put it on.
