Your skin is use to being cleansed...so I would suggest continue using it or start using a 3-1 cleanser and moisterizers! This will keep your face clear and clean of an pimples, blackheads, or dirt on phone that causes clogged pores!

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

You must keep using it for it to work. I have been using proactiv for about a year now. Honestly.. it works, but there is a face wash out there that I just recently found, and it work so much better for me, it is the clean and clear acne control, it contains the same thing proactiv does, only more of it, proactiv contains 2.5% benzol peroxide and this stuff I just found contains 10% benzol peroxide. But back to your questions, yeah you have to keep using it, unfortunatly your acne won't just go away.

You can try going off of it...although I would use it for about a month after your acne has cleared up. If you go off of it and it comes back you can always use it again. I have been using it for 3 years and I won't use anything else. I see a difference when I don't use it consistently...not a huge change just enough of a change that I don't want to go too long with out it. Good luck...hope it works for you. :)

You will have to continue using it, but let me warn you that after a while your skin will get use to it, and it will be useless.
I know several family members that has happened to.
After several years of Proactiv use, they became immune to it and are back to having severe acne.

i would think so...i have heard not so good things about proactive. the people i know that like it don't have the worst skin to begin with. i would suggest going to a derm because insurance pays a good part and you have more of a chance of the meds working

well proactive never worked for me
but you have to continue using it for EVER for your face to stay clear.
if you go see a dermatologist, they can give you an RX called accutane, that clears up your face, for LIFE. its pretty awesome. you see results right away, and than you are clear for life.
best of luck (:
