Hello my fellow TTC'ers,

This is not a question. I posted this for support. I really need your encouragement right now. AF was supposed to start on Saturday, but as of today, Monday...NOTHING yet. I am so scared of taking a PT! I dont want to pay the 15 buck for an over the counter one..... I dont want to go to the DR, cause I wont get results until tomorrow and I was stress and not sleep at all night tonight.

I think I am so afraid that I may NOT be pregnant I am making up all kinds of excuses NOT to test. I'm scared of the outcome either way. 4 misscarriages.... 1 ectopic and 2 birth (Ages 9 and 8) I ahvent had a baby sine 1998...OMG...

I really want this really bad.....but I am afraid.

Wishing you the best of luck. I've had several miscarriages myself so I understand what you're going through. Remember you are not alone and all will be as it should be. All you can do is hope and if you're not then keep trying! Good Luck!

I have had a m/c too and I know how you feel. I really hope that I am as well... I shouldn't start until Wednesday. But you have to think about what is best for the baby. If you are and you have had problems before then you should definately find out so that you can be extra careful... although anything can cause a miscarriage.

I wish you all the best and want you to know that someone knows that scaring feeling right there with you. You think how much you don't want to get excited just for another let down. GO FOR IT get a cheep generic one... if it is negitive... at least you are almost to your period so you can start counting the days again till ovulation.

Best of luck!

First off, if you are pregnant, congratulations. If you aren't, my sincerest apologies, and I hope it happens for you someday. I understand not wanting to know, because once you know, it makes it real, and if something happens like what you've experienced--miscarriage, then the loss is real as well. All of your hopes get up, and are tragically trampled in the loss of the baby.

Understand that whether you take a test or not, time will show--either you'll start experiencing pregnancy symptoms or you'll have your period. But if you are pregnant, you need to know ASAP so you can start taking the necessary steps to ensure that this pregnancy will be a positive one--checkups, pre-natal vitamins, etc. You really need to start taking those vitamins as soon as you can to help your baby grow, and a doctor will be able to work with you on a regular basis to address any concerns you might have about a healthy pregnancy.

My advice--shell out the $15 and take the test.

I wish you the very best.

SIGNS OF PREGNANCY

1. Tender breasts: Many women report increased sensitivity, fullness, or heaviness within a few days. By two weeks after conception, your areolas (the pinkish or brown skin surrounding the nipples) may start to enlarge.

2. Spotting: Scantier than a period and sometimes mixed with a yellowish discharge, a small amount of bleeding may occur when the developing egg implants itself in your uterine wall.

3. Fatigue: Can't keep awake at work? If you feel tired even after a good night's sleep, your body may be going through the changes of early pregnancy.

4. Nausea: Don't think of it as "morning sickness," since it can strike at any time of the day or night. It might feel like a slight case of seasickness or a full-fledged stomach virus -- or you may not experience it at all.

5. Bloating: Many women mistake this early sign of pregnancy for PMS; the tip-off may come when your period doesn't arrive.

6. Increased urination: You may need to go to the bathroom more than usual, a symptom that will return in spades during your last trimester.

7. Stretching of pelvic ligaments: During the course of a normal pregnancy, the uterus will grow to about 1,000 times its prepregnant size (imagine a pear turning into a basketball). Some women feel their pelvic ligaments stretching to make room for this growth to occur.

8. Food cravings: If you suddenly find yourself ravenous for citrus fruits, red meat (even if you're a vegetarian), or potato chips, don't assume it's all in your head. Pregnant bodies may crave increased amounts of vitamin C, iron, and salt -- among other things -- even from the very beginning.

You sound like you would make a wonderful mother. For the sake of it I hope too the outcome is what you wish for, but dear you are not going to find out sitting there wishing. I would be scared too, but I can't have babies since I'm a guy, but there is no better joy than a little baby!! With all those miscarriages, is enough to make you gun shy. Just pray it is OK and everything will turn out for you. Good Luck!!

Go to the dollar store and buy the dollar test.. then you're only out a buck in that aspect!

Face your fear head on girl! Buy that test! then go from there!

Good luck! I hope you get that baby you've been trying so hard for

Well, you really need to pick either the over the counter test or going to the doctor. Maybe if you go to the dr they can help you to try to have a viable pregnancy this time.

Oh wow. I pray you have the results you wish for. Fear is normal, everyone's afraid of something they haven't "suceeded" at since the first fauilure, to use a cruel and hackeneyed statement, but good things can happen when you least expect them. Keep the faith, and try not to stress out.

Best wishes.
