You should use first morning urine as it contains the highest levels of the pregnancy hormone HCG.

A home test can be taken 5 days before you exspect your period. (i took a test 7 das before my period and it was positive)

A blood test will show you are pregnant 7 days after conception.

After you miss your period really it wouldn't matter when you take the test but just don't drink alot before taking the test cause that can dilute the test and do not read any results after 10 minutes.

If you get a negative result within a couple of minutes then lay the test down and look at it like an hour later it may have 2 lines but that is a false positive and called evaporation lines.

Even though some home tests state they can detect a pregnancy test up to 4 days before your missed period...for each day away from your period the test results drop in accuracy. Most every home tests is pretty active on the day you expect your period or any time after. Good luck.

With first response mine came up the day I should have started, but it was very light I had to wait 10 minutes for the line to show up.

Morning is supose to be best but I took mine in the middle of the day. and then one the next morning.... same exact results.
