Yes... i found this :)

"Not only do flies sleep, evidence confirms, but they nap and doze much like people.

Neuroscientists (scientists who study the brain and nervous system) measured fruit flies' activity with a battery of detectors and monitored their genes (hereditary material). Why? Researchers may use flies to develop potential human sleep aids.

Findings show that flies sleep mostly at night, and younger ones sleep more than older (33-day-old) ones; some even nap to "catch up" on lost sleep. Caffeine keeps flies awake and antihistamines, sleep-causing cold medicines, zonk them out. Most importantly, genes that control when flies sleep also regulate human slumber. What's next? "We're looking for insomniac flies," says researcher Paul Shaw."

of course they do
and this is for those that think flies only live for a day

Under optimum conditions females houseflies (Musca domestica) can live up to 70
days, males up to 60 days. Larval and pupal stages take about 10 days of these
days.
Under natural conds life span is much much shorter down to 1-2 weeks as imagos
for both sexes.

I think so...they tend to fall asleep on my wall and die there...they stick there. It's yucky. I think it may be only when they die though because I think if they stop moving for too long they don't generate enough heat to keep themselves alive.

Yes. At night, you'll find them clustered on plants or under leaves, asleep.
