I hate it when society treats women who have any kind of bad history with men as lesser people. Personally I wouldn't touch men like Charlie Sheen or Owen Wilson with a sh*ty stick as they can't seem to keep it in their pants but do they get treated like 'damaged goods'? No!
Anybody agree or have anything to add? It would be especially nice to find out what men think about my comment. (I'm not wishing this to be about bashing all men out there).

No offense taken, but you're right -- there IS a double-standard when it comes to men and women, and you don't have to look to Hollywood to see it. Look to your local high school. If a guy has sex with a girl and he tells his friends about it, what happens? They pat him on the back, say "Way to go, dude!" and all of a sudden he's a real man in the eyes of his fellow teenage males. But what happens to the girl? Heck, she doesn't even have to tell her friends -- once word gets out that she did the dirty deed, she's labeled as a $lut. How is that fair? One gets elevated to demi-god status while the other is looked upon as trash?!?!!

I agree with you. Men who get around are looked at as studly bad boys. Women who do it are sluts. It's a ridiculous double standard.

This is part of the double standard. There is no real equal to 'slut' or 'whore' when it comes to men.
