Which comes first? Dilation or loss of mucus plug? I didn't go into labor naturally with daughter #1 so I don't have anything to reference with this one.

IT REALLY DEPEND ON YOUR BODY BECAUSE IT IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE. CAUSE SOME WOMEN DILATE BEFOR LOSING THEIR MUCUS PLUG AND SOME LOST THEIR MUCUS PLUG AND DONT DILATE.

the mucus plug comes out as you dialate. That is also called the "bloody show" or sometimes just an increase in the white discharge "luekorehea" you should be having anyway

It can happen wither way. My best friend is currently dialated to 1, but her OB says she still has her mucas plug. I lost my mucus plug at 34 weeks and didn't start dialating until 36 weeks.
