They are the unfortunate outcome of grooming down under.

Be it shaving, waxing or depilatory ... women can get ingrown hairs that get infected and cause the boil-like, red, pimply bumps.

If you shave, make sure you use a good shaving cream. Using soap with a razor just causes more bumps ... shaving cream works best.

As well, if you are totally buff down there, it also helps to use a tanning bed 1 a week or so ... it also helps with the bumps.

Since many woman feel going totally natural is a bit too hairy, we will unfortunately have to deal with these annoying bumps.

Best of luck.

It could be in growing hairs or it could be heat spots. If it is heat spots you should try going commando with a skirt on or some loose trousers, if you have the guts. Failing that you could always have a chat to your doc or ask your chemist if there is any cream for heat spots, you don't have to say where they are.

I get them after I wax and was told they are ingrown hairs. To prevent them you need to exfoliate away all of the dead skin so that the hairs can easily come through. Try to use a loofa and some good soap.

I have had these for years and it was only this year i finally went to get them checked out as i was convinced i had herpes. I went to my local GUM clinic and had loads of tests, but it came back as boils. The doctor told me there isnt really anything you can take to get rid of them but gave me antibiotics anyway which obviously didnt work as i still get them. Ive actually got three right now and my god there sooo painful.

blocked sweat glands but best to have it checked out by a doctor to rule out anything more serious than just boils.

Usually from:
-ingrown hairs--->stop shaving
-sweating-----.use an antibacterial soap...avoid moisturizing soaps, this helps alot. avoid tight fitting clothes. dry and keep the area as dry as possible.

hope this helps.

I believe they're something to do with ingroing haors becoming infected. I've also been informed that they can be linked with Poly cystic ovaries!!
