I've been contacted and notified as being the last next of kin and was I was wondering if there truly is a family of that name living in some portion of England.

I know lots of Hills living in England, it is a common name.
There are 60 million people that live in our little country you know!

When you say "contacted", how do you mean? I would be VERY cautious and careful about this, above all, NEVER send any money to someone making this claim, EVER! There is a good chance it is a scam, and if the first contact was via email it is almost guaranteed to be one. Keep checking it out if it seems legitimate, but again, be VERY careful!
