i did that a few times between 18 and 30 years of age. didnt even have a car. just get tired of all the crap, packed a backpack and got on the greyhound to another state and started over. after the last time (age 30) i started feeling the stress rather than joy that change brings. i find familiarity and stability gives me more peace. besides jobs are getting harder to find and i have pets now (harder to find rentals). but even so, i still fondly remember the good ole days of youth when i could just fly away.

I thought I was the only one. :-) I've got two kids and I could never leave them but I couldn't take them with me. I've got a little Hyundai and I don't think that the three of us would be comfortable sleeping in it. So, I just keep the old ball and chain (work) and continue to earn money so we can have comfortable beds where they don't have to sleep in my lap.

I have thought that but then I think "Why Georgia" and just listen to a little John Mayer and the mood passes.

Every payday I think...I should just cash it, forget my bills, drive until I run out of money and start over....someday I just may give in to that urge...
