What type of meds? I hope it is not something that their life depends on. Just an antibiotic or allergy med, who will know unless you tell them. I hope their life does not depend on it.

Really need to know what sort of medication. If it's medication that is vital, you really need to make sure that it is your first priority. If you have missed a dose, it's really important to tell the health care professionals as soon as possible. If it's just antibiotics or cough syrup or something then missing a dose is not too much of a problem as long as you catch up as soon as you remember. If it is medicine for mood control (eg Ritalin) then you really need to keep on top of that. Unless social services are already involved, then who would you be in trouble with.

I guess it depends on the type of medicine. I have forgotten a dose of anti-biotic before (for an ear infection), but if it is something like heart medication, or and anti-seizure medicine, than you had best not forget it. I don't think they could be taken from you, unless forgetting it put their life in jeopardy and something happened (like a seizure).

This depends on what type of medication the child is on, If it is something minor you will most likely get a warning, but if it is something that the child can die or be at risk from your children can be taken from you and put into the custody of the state untill further notice like court date or such.

I did forget alot with all 3 of my kids, but I didn't get in trouble. I started putting the medicine on the microwave which helped me remember. Having a large piece of paper on the refrigerator with a note to remind me in large letters until I got in the habit of giving it to them.
For my medicine I have to take daily, I have my morning medicine on the microwave. My medicine I take at bedtime in my bedroom on my chest of drawers which is close to my bed. If I have an afternoon medicine, I keep on the kitchen table to remind me at lunch.
It may take awhile to get in the habit, but putting a note on the refrigerator about when the medicine should be given will help remind you. Once you have a system that works for you, keep at it and it will be easier to remember.

it depends on the type of meds, how long you forgot, and if you truly forgot or just aren't giving them to them... if you truly forgot.. one time.. as long as it isn't a life or death matter.. you won't get into trouble.. but if you don't give them their meds on purpose and it's not something like antibiotics you could be reported to the child abuse hotline.. especially if it is at a school or daycare... just call your pharmacist or doctor and see what to do about a missed dose and you have nothing to worry about.. but don't keep forgetting!
